Keep it Real Partners are organisations directly contributing to help us to protect the future of the places we operate in.
These partnerships are built around real action - funding conservation, creating awareness, supporting restoration projects, and helping more people connect with nature in meaningful ways.
All Keep it Real Partner donations are collected through the Leslie Hutchins Conservation Foundation (LHCF) - a charitable trust with deep roots in conservation and a long-standing partnership with RealNZ.
Funds will go towards the projects that need your help the most at the time of donating, which could include the Cooper Island Restoration Project and The kārearea Project.

To become a Keep it Real Partner, please donate a minimum of $500 annually.
The Leslie Hutchins Conservation Foundation (LHCF) was founded in 1994 by Leslie Hutchins, whose connection to RealNZ begins more than 70 years ago - when Les and his wife Olive, Lady Hutchins, purchased the Manapouri-Doubtful Sound Tourist Company.
What began as small multi-day journeys into Doubtful Sound by boat and on foot grew into an operation spanning Southern New Zealand, eventually becoming the RealNZ of today. RealNZ has been a proud supporter of the Foundation from the very beginning.
1. Minimum Donation Requirement: A minimum annual donation of NZD $500 is required to qualify for and maintain “Keep it Real Partner” status in each calendar year. Keep It Real Partner status means the donor has a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to use the Keep It Real Partner badge supplied by Realnz for the relevant year, provided that such logo use is as RealNZ specifies.
2. Allocation and Management of Donations: All donations are received and managed by the Les Hutchins Conservation Foundation (“LHCF”). Donations will be allocated at LHCF’s discretion to the project or initiative considered to be of greatest current need.
3. Privacy and Information Sharing: By making a donation as a RealNZ Keep it Real Partner, you acknowledge and consent to relevant personal information being collected, used, and shared between LHCF and RealNZ for the purposes of administering the partnership, processing donations, communicating with you about the programme, and related charitable or promotional activities. Personal information will be managed as described in our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
4. Tax Receipts: Donations may be eligible for a charitable donation tax credit in New Zealand, subject to Inland Revenue requirements. Donation receipts will be issued by LHCF. Neither RealNZ nor LHCF make any representation as to the tax treatment of any donation.
5. Programme Changes: RealNZ and LHCF reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or suspend or discontinue the Keep it Real Partner programme at any time.
6. Governing law: The programme, and these Terms and Conditions, are governed by and will be construed in accordance with New Zealand law.
