Cruise Rakiura Stewart Island

Tour the coastal scenery of Rakiura Stewart Island from the water while cruising onboard our modern catamaran.

After departing from the ferry terminal, your cruise will take you past Ackers Point and into Paterson Inlet with its hidden coves and unspoilt beaches. Showcasing the stunning natural scenery of Rakiura Stewart Island, this cruise is full of picturesque moments.

While passing historic landmarks, our experienced guide will share stories of early Maori history and European settlement as well as providing nature commentary as you keep a lookout for fur seals and penguins.

One of the highlights of any visit to Rakiura Stewart Island is Ulva Island/Te Wharawhara, a predator-free wildlife sanctuary renowned for its abundant birdlife. As we draw near to the island – when weather permits – we’ll shut down the engines so you can soak up the native bird song. For a guided exploration of this beautiful bird sanctuary check out our Ulva Island Explorer experience.
